2006 Yamaha R6

The 2006 Yamaha R6 engine is a completely new design by Yamaha. They have incorporated dual injection, throttle-by-wire, shorter stroke, and a higher rev limit of 16,000RPM. Dual injection offers substantially increased mid-range power over single injection or carburetors. The new throttle-by-wire system allows for a much smoother throttle application. This should make it easier to maintain traction on the racetrack. The shorter stroke enables Yamaha to raise the stock rev limit to 16,000 RPM, greatly increasing corner exit power.

The Guhl Motors fuel injection conversion incorporates an all new racing fuel injector, integral stacks machined into the airbox base plate, and a compact design which should accomodate most chassis makes. This new design, in stock form, has reliably captured numerous wins throughout the 2006 racing season. This is also a member of our brand new LIGHTWEIGHT series of fuel injection systems.
